Most Memorable Race:
Chicago 2025 - Started out with a 3:30 goal, which would be a 10min PR (and what, at the time, would be a BQ). That spring, Boston lowered its time standards to 3:25 and revealed the year‘s ~5min buffer. I thought there’d be no way I’d run 3:25 let alone a 3:20… the original goal was a stretch itself! Long story short, I fought until the end and crossed the finish line on empty, with the clock at 3:19:47 - a 20+ min PR, BQ, and Chicago ‘26 qualifier!
Running Role Model:
Not a runner but Jessie Diggins, a Team USA Cross Country Skier. Her story is incredibly inspiring to me, and I relate to her sense of feeling like an average person athletically but willing to dig deep and dwell in the pain cave for lengths of time. I often find myself drawing motivation from her when having a tough day, physically or mentally.
Fun Facts:
I’ve ridden horses my entire life & compete on the international level in show jumping.
Frozen yogurt is the best food group.
Skiing (Alpine and Nordic) is my third favorite sport behind equestrian & running.
