5k: 18:29, 10k: 39:21, Half Marathon: 1:25:25, Marathon: 2:53:50
Long-Term Running Goals:
- Complete all 6 World Majors
- Sub 18 min for 5K
- Sub 85 min for 1/2 Marathon
- 2:50-2:54 for Marathon
I have to include 2 races that stand out the most.
One is 2015 Boston Marathon, where I just missed breaking 3 hours (3:00:46) but PR'd on a miserable cold rainy day through the Newton Hills.
The other experience is the 2015 Chicago Marathon where months of training all came together at the right time and place to allow me to PR and break 3 hours. I felt great and got to close with friends - all PR'ing. Simply incredible memory.
Reward for a Good Race:
Eat whatever I want. It used to be after a marathon I would destroy a bag of Garrets Carmel corn popcorn mix. And I mean destroy!
Those I train with inspire and motivate me and most definitely, my mom motivates me. She is turning 75 this year and dreams of running her 1st half marathon and full marathon. And I will help he accomplish her goals! Lastly seeing my wife (as she holds our son) cheer me on during races inspires me to do my best!
