Long-Term Running Goal:

To complete a full marathon in each of the 50 states.

Motivation During a Race:

Motivational quotes, as well as dedicating each mile to a different person. This helps me be present and focus on the immediate term.

Pre-Race Routine:

Since I'm typically traveling for races, I lay out all of my race gear the night before to ensure I didn't forget anything. My husband, Nathan, will typically leave random inspirational quotes throughout the room for me to find as I'm getting ready in the morning.

Reward for a Good Race:

Sign up for the next race! Oh, and eat a really great meal that includes dessert!
