Mile: 4:35, Marathon: 2:35:27, 100M: 18:37:10

Primary Focus:

I'll race any distance on any terrain, but am focusing more on 50k+ these days.

Favorite Race Distance:

Nothing distills your soul quite like 100 miles.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 2:30 in the marathon and top 10 at Western States.

Most Memorable PR:

My 18:37 at Western States was the highlight of my running career so far. It was the kind of day that embodies everything I like so much about running.

Favorite Race:

The Dipsea is my favorite race - the handicap, the trail, the rules - it's a race unlike any other. It got me back into running after getting cut from the cross country team in college.

Pre-Race Superstition:

Three pins on the race bib (4 is too heavy).

Most Memorable Run:

I was attempting to traverse the Milford Track in New Zealand in 1 day in order to get to the end in time for the last boat home. I had to really get after the 35 miles. One gnarly fall and a sprained LCL later, I ended up in the ranger station where a whole campground of folks offered me their leftover food!

Favorite Part of Being a DWRunner:

I like feeling like I'm part of a team again, it's a little bit like being back on cross country in high school!
