Marathon and half marathon, but I enjoy all distances past the mile
Long-Term Running Goals:
It may be a pie in the sky goal, but I want to break the 3-hour barrier.
Favorite Race Distance:
My heart is with the marathon, but the half marathon is much more convenient.
MoSt Memorable Run:
Most people think physical fitness is what makes a runner fast, but a significant portion of long distance running is psychological. Coach Dan told me that he would be happier if I ran a slower but enjoyable race at the Berlin marathon rather than set a personal best and be miserable. So I toed the line with no set agenda but to enjoy the race and did exactly that. As an added bonus, my second half was faster than the first by two minutes, and set my personal best by 1 second!
Eliud Kipchoge's determination to be the best version of himself. His philosophy inspires me to run faster. I am rooting for him to break the 2-hour barrier.
