My 2:58 marathon at Indianapolis marathon in 2014. It was my first real competitive effort since having my 3 kids, and I set a goal of breaking 3 hours and I achieved it!!
Motivation to Run:
It keeps me sane, and is the one thing I do almost every day that is just for me!!!
Reward for a Good Race:
A day off and a piece of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory
I was not much of an athlete growing up, and my best friend decided she was going to go out for the cross country team so I joined her. My friend ended up quitting, but I hung in there and finished second in my first race. After that I was totally hooked!!
