I'd really like to concentrate on track. The mile especially but am open to other distances. I'd also like to work on my 5k road time.
Motivation to Run:
Whenever anyone asks me this, my answer is "It's what I do."
I had the opportunity to run the master's 4x400 relay at the Penn Relays in 2016. It was pretty cool to be at such a prestigious race.
In recent years, my most favorite PR is Shamrock in 2014. The winter prior was brutal - both with snow and cold. My training was lacking and I wasn't really expecting much from the race. Per usual, my Garmin went wonky the first mile through the tunnel so I had no clue what pace I was running. So, I just started targeting females in front of me that had a 15 second head start because of the team competition. It felt effortless. When I finished and looked at my watch, I was stunned. People kept asking how I did and I said, "I think I just ran a PR!" I wouldn't believe it until I saw the official results.
Favorite Run Location:
I spent some time in Spain in 2016. I was thrilled when I found Retiro Park. A gem hidden in a busy city.
