Favorite Run Location:

I travel a lot for my work, so I have so many places. Some of my favorites are: the English Gardens in Munich, Germany, Lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Cape in South Africa. But nothing beats the Lakeshore path in Chicago!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Just to be the best runner I can be. I've never been pushed to my limit as a runner, and I want to tap into that place that athletes go to maximize their potential. Ultimately, I would like to qualify for the Boston marathon and also run all the majors.

Motivation when hurting during a race or workout:

I pretend a mugger is chasing me or that I'm part of a montage video where I'm getting faster/stronger like in Rocky I, II, III, IV and to a lesser degree V.

Motivation to Run:

I think I started running primarily to lose weight. However, I found running helped me with my stress and focus at work. It became part of a meditation routine. Running has become a lifestyle as opposed to "working out", and it's also a metaphor for the challenges you face in life and how you work to overcome them.
