No current focus, but I think the half marathon is a good distance.
Others. Seeing a peer being able to do what I want to do - gives me hope I will reach my goal and gives me something to strive for.
A pace run or hills! In high school (and college rowing) I was used as a pacer on workouts to help my teammates get through. I did not have a great kick at the end of a race so I had to find somewhere else to catch the competition - I ended up picking hills.
Long-Term Running Goals:
The ever so common "to improve" Also to get to a speed of qualifying for a race. I want to be able to say "I ran a qualifying time for _____ race". To keep my body moving. I want to complete a race in all 50 states (I do also count rowing in college)
Favorite Part of Running:
Just moving and being outside. I am an antsy person and do not sit still well (by 10 AM on day 1 of vacation I am bored and need to get up and do something).
