Half Marathon: 1:13:02
My favorite race was the Kandahar Half Marathon which I completed in Afghanistan while I was deployed 6 years ago. This was my favorite race because it sparked my love of racing.
Motivation to Run:
I run because it's free therapy. When I pour everything out through a run, it feels like all negativity is left on the trail. I feel clean when I finish a run covered in sweat.
Most Memorable Run:
My most memorable run is when I was stationed on a ship in the Navy and we had just been out at sea for a while and all I wanted to do was get back to shore so I could run free. When we docked it was pouring out and I didn't even care one bit. I laced up and went out with my shoes and a pair of shorts and ran in the downpour and loved every minute of it.
