Primary Focus:

Favorite Run Location:

Kalimpong, India. It's a small village in the foothills of the Himalayas. I taught English there for a few months in college. I'd get up early before class and had only two choices: run directly uphill and finish coming down, or start on the downhill and finish with an uphill grind. Many of my students walked to school from miles away, so I would often see them making their morning commute to class. Running for fun isn't a thing in this part of the world, so they'd ask me "Miss, where are you going??" And: "WHY??"

"If I could run with anyone, it would be...":

Shalane Flanagan. She's a New England girl too and I'd love to pick her brain about her favorite spots to run around Boston.

My grandfather! He's 90 years old and still plays a round of gold every day, not to mention his travel tennis team which still plays regularly in tournaments all over the state of Maine. Not only is he in great shape, but he has the best time doing it! Hopefully I inherit those amazing genes...

Guiding Quote:

"Run this mile." - my running mantra

Favorite Part of Being a DWRunner:

The camaraderie. We're all crazies... and you guys get me.

Mountains or Ocean?:

BOTH. I'm a Maine girl, why choose?!

Tea or Coffee?:

Early Bird or Night Owl?:

Night owl

Chocolate or Vanilla?:

Chocolate. Dark.
