My focus is on the half-marathon. My PR for the half-marathon was a day where I set out to simply run and I kept going. I'd like to chop a lot of time off that in a competitive setting.
Motivation to Run:
I run to be healthy for my family and myself. I run to avoid stagnation. I run to beat the random person I pick out in the race that I'm currently trailing. I run to hit Stop on my watch and reflect, 'that was amazingly intense'. I run because it's powerful.
Most Memorable Run:
I'd say it's the day I went out to run 3 to 5 miles and ended up running almost every street in our town, amassing 13.1 miles. At one point I didn't do the right calculation and thought I could end at 12 but recalled 26.2/2 is 13.1, dummy. So I ran further. Eventually it hurt but it was definitely a new level of mind and body.
"If not now, when?" and then sometimes rephrased as "You said tomorrow yesterday".
Favorite UA Product:
I have a pair of gloves that I go into a panic attack when I am unable to find them or missing one. They resemble football receiving gloves however they are so comfortable and they have the most ingenious pocket for hot packs. I also have a duffel bag that has a few brilliant compartments. I feel they have very thoughtful design.
