I definitely started running by accident. I played soccer all the way through my freshman year of high school (including club), moving up through the ranks and earning a spot on the Varsity squad for the state playoffs. Granted, we lost in the first game, but nevertheless I had planned on making a career out of it. I ran a 5k road race during the soccer season as my family had urged me on and posted a 17:39 after going out in 5:10. Naive running is the best - go out hard, hang on and see what happens.
The 2015 Boston Marathon. 29th Overall, 14th American. It was a tough day. Rain, headwinds the entire way, but it's one of those days where you are on-point and nothing can stop you.
"When Not Running, I Can Be Found...":
Working or Raging (sometimes).
Favorite Part of Running:
It all comes down to race day. The preparation is admirable, but putting it all together on race day and executing is why I'm here.
Favorite Part of Being a DWRunner:
The knowledge and trust in the oversight of the group.
Mountains or Ocean?:
The combination of both is amazing but I would have to go with mountains
Tea or Coffee?:
Early Bird or Night Owl?:
Chocolate or Vanilla?:
*Dan is also currently a member of the Fleet Feet Racing Team
