Motivation to Run:
I run because I enjoy being around others. Because of running I have had the opportunity meet so many nice people and make a lot of great friends. Whether it's during workouts or races, I enjoy seeing them every time. I don't regret the decision I made to enter the sport of running.
2:59:28 2018 Berlin Marathon. My first sub-three race.
2010ish. Before then I thought people who ran were crazy.
Motivation When Hurting During a Race or Workout:
I try not to think of how many miles are left. I tell myself you have 10 minutes or 15 minutes of running left. If its the last 5k in a race I think about what that distance is on one of my training runs from home. I tell myself "you just have to run the track and back". It helps me get through the tough parts of a race.
Mountains or Ocean?:
Both. I enjoy the mountains and sitting on the beach.
